2011 TOUR THROUGH THE BEAUTIFUL REGION OF JURA
THE SUCCESS FORMULA FOR 12 YEARS OF MOUNTAIN RALLY
The NUTRIXXION Mountain Rally is a multi-day mountain bike tour. It is for mountain bike enthusiasts who are passionate about riding in unexplored areas around the world. It runs over the most beautiful trails in Western Europe. This mountain bike tour has been presented for 12 years in succession by organizers Michelle Schierle and Willi Felix. The NUTRIXXION Mountain Rally is seen by participants as extremely well organized in a very relaxed atmosphere. Every year, this route runs through one or more of the Alpine regions of Switzerland. The 2011 tour will be visiting a completely new route and will travel across the Jura Mountains on the Western side of Switzerland through the magical wine region.
The NUTRIXXION Mountain Rally is not a competition but an adventure for mountain bikers to enjoy in a relaxed style. It is also not a team event where riders are in any category – it is an individual experience – however, one experiences an amazing camaraderie between all participants. It is a lot of fun discussing each day’s route with your new friends over dinner time. The landscape determines the tempo that you will ride - and the length of your rest time is determined by yourself!
THE 2011 TOUR IN DETAIL
The NUTRIXXION Mountain Rally Tour will be held from 21 – 27 August 2011. It starts in Basel, runs across the Jura, ending in Nyon on Lake Geneva. In 5 challenging days participants will ride over the most pristine trails of the North Western side of Switzerland. The completely new stages travel via Delement, La Chaux de Fonds, Neuchatel and Yverdon until finishing in Nyon on Lake Geneva. Along this route one will encounter breath-taking views of the region where you will ride on little-known passes and over beautiful hiking and wilderness trails.
You will receive an information booklet with detailed information of each day, detailed maps showing the routes and their profiles. GPS routes are available to download from the organizers, as well as photo images of the new route.
The organization arranges hotel accommodation, meals (including a lunch pack), baggage transportation, mechanical assistance, massage and even a tour doctor! All this is to ensure that you can enjoy the wonderful Jura !

NB * The above information is applicable to the main route. There are options along the routes each day that you can opt for an easier route with less altitude gains.
TOUR PACKAGE
The detailed route information that each participant receives, along with the colorful route markers along the route, ensures that riders will not get lost along the route. Riders can choose if they want to ride along a more difficult route, which is marked in a different color, or take an easier route – this decision can be made whilst riding and depends on how you are feeling! Photographs of each day’s route, is posted on the website, so families from around the world can view these each day. At the end of each day’s ride participants have a sense of accomplishment along with a great mountain biking experience.
On the last day participants are transported by bus back to Basel to the parking area in which cars are parked whilst on the tour.
Throughout the tour you can enjoy yourself to the fullest and only need to think about riding your bike each day! Everything else is taken care of by the organizers.

COSTING
The costing of the tour is calculated in Swiss Francs (CHF). The exchange rate fluctuates daily. For a quick estimation the, following figures can be used: 100 EURO = + 133 CHF or 100 CHF = + 75 EURO
